Sarah ReadingsHome Manager
After completing a BTEC DIPLOMA in Care in 1992, I began my career as a care assistant at Cowbridge Nursing home, where I worked both day and night shifts.
I left Cowbridge to work in America. While in the States I completed a course in emergency medicine. Becoming a State of New Jersey qualified EMT (Emergency Medical Technician). This is where my passion for emergency medicine began.
On returning from the States I have worked within the community providing individualised care to those in their own homes.
In 2005 I began working for the NHS in a small community hospital as a Health Care Assistant. Working alongside a Nurse lead team. Providing rehabilitation and palliative care to the local community, and assisting in the Minor Injury Unit as needed.
In my spare time I have volunteered with St. John Ambulance and responded as a community First Responder.
I am passionate regarding the care people receive. I believe everyone is an individual, and it is their right to be treated as such. Respecting each individuals’ beliefs and preferences.
