Making a Moment Matter, is a reward scheme for staff. The reward is to recognise, both small and large gestures and kindnesses made by staff members towards their residents on a daily basis. These moments have a profound impact on the psychological and emotional well being of our residents, but can often be overlooked in the busy life of a care home.
MOMENT OF THE MONTH – SEPTEMBER
Our moment of the month for September, goes to HCA, Nicola Horner.
Nicola was a runaway winner, nominated by staff and residents alike – she’s come in on her days’ off to take residents to Trago and Morrisons, baked cakes for a resident’s birthday, and is known for always being cheerful and for nothing being too much trouble.

MOMENT OF THE MONTH – JULY
Our moment of the month for July, has been chosen for a care assistant who had arranged to go out into town with these two lovely residents. His shift became too busy and so he wasn’t able to be spared, so he went back after work and met them in the afternoon in his own time instead.
