Felicity, Well-being Coordinator said, “We are running the baking group fortnightly on a Wednesday. The home is always buzzing on baking days, residents and staff seem to both enjoy the activity and even if a resident may decline from doing the activity for themselves they quite often enjoy watching the process and always enjoy sampling the final outcome.”
The baking sessions offer many health benefits, often prompting memories of baking days past for the residents, helping with motor skills, improving concentration and providing a fantastic social experience. Everyone in the Home enjoys these days, whether taking part or simply enjoying the delicious end products.

This week, they made croissants, as a part of their celebration preparations for Bastille Day.
